Lovely old small hotel in the heart of Hexham, nice modern large rooms and bathrooms , even though our room was above the bar and looked out onto the main street we only heard the odd loud exhaust and slept well on a comfortable bed . Good choice for breakfast and we ate in the dining room on our first night and had very good food and service in a very popular establishment. Opposite the hotel or just up the road are many different restaurants and the main pedestrian shopping area just 100m away . Excellent 3 night stay , thank you.

Booked here for Sunday lunch as previously had a good experience here. Lovely warm cosy pub, great service, homemade roast dinner (the ultimate was amazing... crackling and pig in a duvet) and we just about squeezed in dessert. Yum yum, now a monthly occasion for us!

A very comfortable hotel / pub situated within a few minutes walk from the old part of Hexham and the Abbey. Our room was spacious and comfortable and very clean. The staff are friendly and the restaurant offers a varied menu. Free parking is available a couple of minutes walk away. All good

Popped in for an evening meal on Monday evening staff were very welcoming, polite and friendly. We sat at a table and a young lass came over and advised what was on and off the menu. A few minutes later we ordered i had the battered cod & wife had the cod floranten both dishes were well presented and hot, if I had one criticism the batter was a bit on the heavy crunchy side could have been a bit lighter. The John Smiths was good and well kept as was the Peroni . All in all a good experience .

Booked 2 days before arrival. Email communications were very good. We pulled in and dropped bags, was handed a parking disc and very helpful on where best to park. All staff were so very warm welcoming and we even got bumped up to on our room selection as the hotel wasnt full that evening. Food was fantastic! Huge portions and very very tasty. Great location for a few drinks out around town and sightseeing. Bed was super comfy and breakfast was more than adequate. Highly recommended.

After contacting before visiting the restaurant was able to provide a smaller food portion for an elderly member of our party. This was very much appreciated. The fish and chips were a very generous portion and very tasty. The cod florentine was full of fish and again was very much enjoyed. The men in the party commented on the great selection of local beers. Would have no hesitation in visiting again and recommending to others.

Thank you for a beautiful meal with my parents. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. Just want to give a special thanks to our blonde waiter, he was phenomenal and really went above and beyond to make sure our experience was enjoyable as possible (sorry I forgot to grab your name!)
